The fields are being managed through rotational grazing, providing different fields for turnout throughout the year. Horses will be rotated each season. This allows the fields to be correctly rested and to have the necessary management required, helping to maintain optimum grazing and turnout quality, therefore providing all year turnout.
The fields will also be cross grazed with sheep, to help control the worm burden and to eat down the pasture to encourage healthy grazing. To further reduce the worm burden, fields will have manure removed on a regular basis.
The individual horses' needs will be met. This means that group or individual turnout can be catered for according to your preference. All paddocks have separate water troughs which are checked daily.
There is a 20 x 40 all-weather arena with a sand and fibre surface. The fibre was added in July 2016 to provide a safer and more stable riding surface to exercise your horse. We now have a new 40 x 60 grass arena which we have Jumps available. Our aim within the next 3 years is to upgrade to a bigger 40 x 60 fibre surface arena, and plough and reseed a large grass arena suitable for riding or carriage driving.
